Capacity calculator
What capacity does your room need?
Enter the room area and its conditions, and get an initial estimate of the capacity you need. The final recommendation comes once we know the space.
- A tailored estimateBased on area, room type and sun exposure
- Lower running costsA correctly sized unit does not have to work too hard

A wall-mounted inverter unit will suit this room well.
An initial estimate only. The final capacity is set after a technician sees the space.
Before you buy
What to check in a new unit
Capacity is only the start. These are the points we go through together before recommending a model.
Capacity (HP)
Matched to the area, the sun exposure, the floor and the size of the windows.
Efficiency and inverter
An inverter unit holds a steadier temperature and usually uses less electricity.
Noise level
Especially important in bedrooms and home offices.
System type
Split, ducted or multi-split, depending on the layout and the number of rooms.
Controls and comfort
Remote, timer, sleep mode and phone control on models that support it.
Service and maintenance
A unit that is easy to maintain, with service available, will last for years.

Installation and commissioning
Professional installation, a performance check and an explanation of your new unit.
The price depends on the system, on the fault or installation and on the work actually required, so a general price list would be misleading. Contact us with the details and photos, and we will explain what is likely needed.
Yes. Installation is a separate service. It is worth checking the capacity with us before you buy, so you do not end up with a unit that is too weak or too strong for the room.
As a rule of thumb a room of about 20 m² needs roughly 1.5 HP, but sun exposure, a top floor and large windows all push that up. Get an initial estimate with our capacity calculator; the final decision is made after an inspection.
A wall-mounted split cools a single room. A ducted (mini-central) system sits in the ceiling or a bulkhead and distributes air through ducts to several rooms, so it is quieter and hidden, but it needs more planning and a more complex installation.
An inverter unit varies the compressor speed as needed instead of switching it on and off. The result is a steadier temperature, less noise and usually lower electricity consumption.
